Watzmann

The Watzmann is the landmark of the Berchtesgadener Land. Not only its height of 2,713 m but also its striking shape made it famous. The three main peaks of the Watzmann are connected by a ridge. The ridge hike, also called Watzmannüberschreitung, is one of the most famous mountain tours in the Bavarian Alps and is only suitable for experienced mountaineers. The tour up to the Watzmannhaus is doable for every hiker and leads you on challenging, but beautiful and good paths to the destination.
